Opened in 1872 and named after Alessandro Manzoni since 1873, Teatro Manzoni is among the most prestigious theatres in Italy. Located in the center of Milan a short distance from via Montenapoleone and Piazza della Scala, the theatre was conceived with its current structure in 1950. The spacious lobby, elegant foyer and theatre hall with a capacity of 838 seats are embellished with frescoes by Achille Funi and sculptures by Leone Lodi. Since 1978 it has been part of the Fininvest Group, which for 40 years has helped sustain its activities, consolidating its identity, image and offerings.

Teatro Manzoni offers a rich and varied season featuring the great performers of the scene who will bring to life the eternal magic of theatre in all its forms: the Prosa dedicated to great shows of contemporary and classical drama, the Ridere alla grande review with the talents of comedy, Extra with varied proposals from thematic recitals to music, passing through magic and dance, and the Family billboard with shows dedicated to children and their families. 

Manzoni Theatre offers Politecnico community a 20% discount on the full ticket price, in poltronissima sector, for some performances of the Theatre Season 2024 - 25 of “Prosa”, “Ridere alla Grande”, “Manzoni Family”, and “Manzoni Extra” playbills.

Excluded from the agreement are the shows: Extra review “Note d’autore”, shows by Umberto Galimberti, Tootsie, the play on December 31st, 2024, and all plays that will be performed during the holidays.

These discounts are subjected to seats availability. 

The discounted days will be:

• For the “Prosa” review: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8.45 p.m. and Saturdays only 3.30 p.m. 
• For the “Ridere alla Grande” review: Monday to Friday 8:45 p.m. 
• For the “Manzoni Family” review: Saturday afternoon 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. 
• For the “Extra” review: Monday to Friday 8:45 p.m.
