March 8 - International Women's Day

On the occasion of International Women's Day, celebrated annually on March 8, Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the sports service, is organizing the event "Sports Stories: Laura Giuliani" on Tuesday, March 11 at 6 PM in the Glass Hall – Building 13, Leonardo Campus.

Federica Lodi, a Sky journalist, will interview Laura Giuliani - goalkeeper for AC Milan and the Italian Women's National Soccer Team - about her career and personal life, with a focus on her role as a reference model in a traditionally male sport like soccer.

  • Inclusive Knowledge: the teaching and technical-administrative staff receive annual training on diversity and inclusion, also with reference to multiculturalism
  • Empowering Women@Polimi and Empowering PhDs@Polimi: empowerment and self-awareness pathways for female students and PhD candidates, in collaboration with SheTech e ValoreD. For the participants a personalised counselling service is available, parallel to the attendance of seminars
  • Mentoring with companies: Women Mentoring for PhD Candidates is dedicated to female students enrolled in the PhD programmes of the Politecnico di Milano. Some female professionals working in different companies or universities will guide small groups of PhD students in a training course that will cover important aspects such as women’s leadership, negotiation, team working, skills needed for the world of careers
