Tax Code (codice fiscale)

Tax Code is an alphanumerical code which in Italy is used to carry out several administrative procedures, such as opening a bank account, purchasing a telephone card or a transport card and, last but not least, obtaining Politecnico di Milano PoliCard. For this reason, it is necessary to obtain it as soon as possible!

Obtain the tax code from the italian representative abroad

You can refer to the Italian Representative in your country in order to have your Tax Code. Once you have it, type it in your OnLine Services (“MyData” section) and upload the certificate of attribution.

Tax Code generated on Universitaly website is not official. Please, do not update your OnLine Services with it.

Obtain the tax code with Politecnico di Milano support

Politecnico di Milano will ask the Agenzia delle Entrate (Revenue Agency) for its students’ Tax Code as follows:

  • students admitted to Engineering courses (including Architectural Engineering - Building Engineering for Sustainability - Management of Built Environment) → the Tax Code will be available by the end of July for students with both passport (or Identity Card for EU students only) uploaded and Administrative Fee paid by June 5th;
  • students admitted to Design and Architecture courses (except Architectural Engineering - Building Engineering for Sustainability - Management of Built Environment) → the Tax Code will be available by the end of July for students with both passport (or Identity Card for EU students only) uploaded and enrolment completed by June 5th.

The request is automatically sent, and no further actions are required from the students. Once the Tax Code is available, usually in a few weeks, the students are notified by e-mail.
