Gianni Ferretti is Vice Rector of the Cremona Campus of Politecnico di Milano, where he is Full Professor of Automatic Controls and Simulation Techniques and Tools at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB). He took a degree in Electronic Engineering at the same university.
His research has mainly focused on: the control of robots and servomechanisms, the modelling and simulation of mechatronic, robotic and automotive systems and, more generally, the development of object-oriented techniques for the creation of Digital Twins, and modelling and control systems for biogas production plants.
He has been involved in developing various forms of innovation in education, including the design and launch of a Master’s degree couse in Agricultural Engineering at the Cremona Campus, the first of its kind in Italy.
He is co-author of over 130 articles, most of them published in international journals or presented at international conferences, and is the co-holder of 3 patents. He is also co-editor of 3 Special Issues and has been involved in many research projects with industries and institutions.
